Camping

Tent, RV, Yurt

There are two great options for camping just minutes from the resort, Kayak Point County Park and Wenberg County Park. Whether you’re looking to hook up an RV, rent a yurt, or pitch a tent, you won’t be far from the disc golf courses at Kayak Point.

Reservations for camping at these parks must be made directly with the parks, not through Disc Golf Resort. Click on one of the maps or park names below for more information about the camping options available and to make reservations.

Kayak Point Park is host to one of seven campgrounds in the Snohomish County Parks campground system. This campground is open year-round and offers ten yurts and 30 partial-utility (water/power) in mostly large, wooded campsites with privacy not found in most campgrounds. Campers have the option to take the road or a series of paths and stairs to reach the beach and day-use area. All sites can be booked online or through the call center (M-F, 8:30 am-4:30 pm at 425-388-6600) up to 270 days in advance. Be sure to verify RV pad size as some sites cannot accommodate larger rigs. Drop-in camping is allowed for sites that have not been reserved and the first night can be purchased at the park entrance fee machine. The campground tends to sell out mid to late summer so reservations are strongly recommended during that time.

Wenberg Park’s campsites are situated within three campground loops.

  • Loop 1 (sites 1-15) offers full utilities in most of its sites. It is best suited for RV camping. Loop 1 is open for year-round camping (water and electricity are open year-round. The dump station is winterized and closed Nov-March).
  • Loop 2 (sites 16-44 and ADA) offers a mix of partial and non-utility sites. Loop 2 is not open for winter camping (closed from November 1st through the end of February).
  • Loop 3 (sites 45-67) offers mostly non-utility sites and is best suited for tent camping. Loop 3 is not open for winter camping (closed from November 1st through the end of February).

Kayak Point

County Park

A spectacular saltwater beach park located along the shores of picturesque Port Susan. From its 3,300 feet shoreline to its evergreen forests, Kayak Point Park offers a beautiful setting for pier fishing, windsurfing, picnicking, hiking, camping, boat launching and more. In the day-use area, there are picnic shelters with an ocean view, beachside firepits, a playground, miles of beach to explore, a pier and restrooms. The pier extends 300 feet into Puget Sound and is a popular site for crabbing and fishing. At high tide, the water depth is 50 feet off the pier’s end. Baited crab pots are used to attract Dungeness and red rock crab. Fishing enthusiasts catch flounder, sole, true cod, rockfish and walleye pollock year-round, and migrating sea perch in spring and summer. Casting from the shoreline will occasionally bring in dolly varden or a sea-run cutthroat.
