We’re building this complex to eventually include 5 courses, retail, food & drink, training/clinics, event rental offerings, and more. We’re searching for passionate individuals who want to help deliver world-class disc golf experiences.

Initiative, dedication, and a drive to help Disc Golf Resort achieve its goals required. Vast knowledge of disc golf NOT required.

Positions available:

Head Chef

Kayak Point DGR is searching for a head chef to run the kitchen at Aces BBQ & Grill. Must be well-versed and knowledgeable with cooking on a line and plating meals, as well as safe food handling, preparation, and storage procedures. Menu and recipes already exist and hands-on training will be provided.

Responsibilities include timely food preparation and plating based on customer orders, and opening and closing duties. Must work well in a kitchen environment with lulls and rushes, be effective at multi-tasking, and garner a sense of pride about the food being served. Prior kitchen experience and valid Washington State Food Worker Card required. Added bonus if also experienced in customer service, able to take food orders at the counter during slower times, and a WA State Class 12 MAST permit holder.

Availability to work all Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays required, preferably for 11am - 5pm operating hours to start. 24+ hours per week to start with potential for additional shifts as the restaurant hours expand. Pay starts at $25/hr, then DOE with upwards of $35+/hr available if running restaurant successfully and independently.

Seasonal Course Marshal

Kayak Point DGR is searching for the right candidate to fill a seasonal course marshal role. Course marshals are responsible for enforcing company rules across the property and helping to ensure visitors have the best experience possible. This includes checking-in with players and other visitors on a regular basis by making laps throughout the courses to provide assistance and address any issues with people not following the rules. The best marshals are effective communicators who are able to be stern yet professional when addressing issues, while also being friendly, approachable, and helpful. Must be able to manage time effectively. Additional duties include collecting trash and recycling on the courses, and general course clean-up as directed.

Experience with grounds work and landscaping using hand tools and hand-held power equipment such as a line trimmer, hedge trimmer, backpack blower, etc. is a bonus and may support additional hours. Experience with customer service and food & drink sales, including a current Class 12 MAST Permit also a plus, but not required. This position has the potential to grow into also operating a drink & snack cart on occasion, which allows for added income through tips.

Availability on weekends from June through September required. Potential for longer-term employment based on performance and business demand. 16+ hours per week to start including shifts on Saturdays & Sundays. Starting pay is $20/hour.
